The Great Outdoors conversion package differs from our Explorer and Classic campervan conversions thanks to its versatile sliding rail Scopema RIB seat/bed.

The M1 crash tested and certified sliding rail system (called Glide Motion) allows the entire seat/bed to lock at 6 different positions along the rails length to make the boot or living space bigger or smaller as required. Another advantage of the rail system is the ability to slide the seat forwards to enable rear passengers to be closer to the front passengers, giving a more car like journey.

This 4 berth VW Transporter conversion featuring a Westdubs poptop roof, Autoterm diesel heating, a kitchen, fridge, hob, sink, windows, blinds and more.

Like the Explorer conversion an induction hob is installed as standard, making cooking much simpler and safer than a traditional gas hob setup.

12v and 230v electricity is provided by a Clayton Power LPS II 2000 with a 100ah LiFeP04 (lithium) leisure battery at its core, a 2000w inverter is built into the LPS II allowing the 230v (mains) power to be used whether ON or OFF-GRID.

The LPS II unit is the highest quality electrical system available for smaller vans.

The rail system allows the bed to lock in various positions, rear passengers can safely travel closer to the front of the van whilst leaving a large space behind for luggage, tools, bikes etc.

HEATING

Autoterm 2kw diesel heater with PU-05 controller

The Autoterm heater offers superb reliability, low fuel consumption, very quiet operation and impressive heat output.
